Gasparilla Party

Hi Friends!

I am starting a New Post that will be a Party Series!

Which is really one of the Big Inspirations for me with the Honeybee me!

I love a Party and a reason to Celebrate!

Life's Special Moments and all the Sweet Details are just what makes me giddy!

I will be posting all the fun details of parties down to the Napkins that inspired a Theme!

Some Parties will be my very own and some will be Parties that have inspired me!

This is a Gasparilla Dinner Party!

I did this Party for my Sweet Hubs a few years ago.

Yes! A Pirate them for my hubby! And I have to admit my little guys were

super excited about it! Parties are for All!!!

With a January Birthday ....it was inevitable in Tampa Bay to have a fun 

Gasparilla Dinner Party for him! Check out the Details!

Yes, these are the cutest Cake Pops I have ever seen!

Little Pirate Cake Pops in Purple, Green, and Red!

Can I get a Yum Yum!! And for sure the Cake Pops were my jumping off point for this dinner party!

Parties are all about finding what little details inspires you to take it to the next level.

If you are not having fun....neither are your guests!!

This was such a simple Dinner Party but the Theme was

Super Fun! I just decorated the Dining Room with some Glass Jars with 

Feathers, Pirate Swords, Beads, Masks, and Parrots in the Theme of Red, Black and White

and it looked festive! The Pirate Cake Pops were the Center of Attention coming 

out of the Treasure Box, but for me...it's just all about the little details.

Parties don't have to be over the top with a lot...quality and details and you have a Winner!

I always have a Signature Pennant in the Colors! Pennants Scream a Celebration to me!

Life is full of so much...let's focus on the Victories and the Celebrations!

Gasparilla Wreaths

After all the Sparkle and Glitter comes down after Christmas

in Tampa Bay we start the After Party...

we call Gasparilla! The Invasion of the Pirates!

Which for someone like me....from New Orleans...makes me

happy and giddy to celebrate another fun local Holiday Event!

And with Gasparilla...comes the Pirate Details!

So, these are some Gasparilla Pirate Wreaths I made

a few years ago....Super Crazy and Wild including Pirate Swords,

Gasparilla Beads, Feathers...Boas...Parrots...you name it..

it's stuck right into the Wreath. Just love all the Details of Gasparilla!

In the next few weeks...I will show you some fun Gasparilla Details!

Making Gasparilla Wreaths are actually fun and easy.

And quite a hit in my home with 2 boys that love Pirates!

The look is casual and crazy! I am in the process of making new Wreaths for this year!

The Wreaths are very Tampa Bay and Inviting!!!

I would say we all should start with my most favorite Cocktail Ever!

Healthy I might add....last I read Cucumbers are good for your skin...

Let me introduce you to the "Cucumber Gimlet"!

Oh yes, she is so divine! And not all Gimlet's are created equal.

Hands Down ....Ocean Prime has it mastered all the way down

to the perfect Ice Cubes! And of course the Ingredients play a huge role too.

If you are going to make these little yummies at home, 

go right now and buy Hendricks Gin.....LOVE!

I love this Gin.....I Featured this Gin at our Wine Bar years ago In Marco Island...

and of course it's the only way to have a Perfect Cucumber Gimlet!

Here is Ocean Prime's Recipe for a Cucumber Gimlet!

Cucumber Gimlet

Ingredients

1 ½ oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin

1 oz. Freshly squeezed lime juice

1 oz. Simple syrup

4 to 5 Slices of cucumber

Preparation

1)    Fill glass with ice

2)    Add cucumber, fresh lime and simple syrup to a mixing tin

3)    Muddle with three ice cubes until the cucumber is dissolved

4)    Add ice to the mixing tin to fill it halfway

5)    Shake gently and strain into iced glass and enjoy!
